After a successful career in Direct Marketing and communications, Linda chose to put her career on hold to focus on her children's education and volunteer in leadership roles with various youth groups and school Parent Advisory Councils.
A strong advocate, with a passion for education and community building, she recognized the shortfall in capital funding to build schools in Surrey. Linda formed a city-wide committee bringing together representatives of stakeholder groups to coordinate and focus efforts advocating for increased funding from the Province. She served as director on the Surrey District Parent Advisory council and was a member of the Surrey Board of Trade advisory committee on Post-Secondary education.
Appointed to the Surrey Libraries Board in 2012, she worked with the Board to create the Libraries' new Strategic Plan and its first ever Advocacy plan. She served 2 terms and held the position of Board Chair for 3 years.
Linda now serves on the Boards of SurreyCares Community Foundation and Women Transforming Cities.
Looking forward to getting back to work, in 2015, Linda began taking on marketing and design projects and became a director with SheTalks, a unique series of conferences providing a platform for women's voices. In 2016, she joined Headwaters Strategy Group as operations director.
Linda has extensive experience in marketing, art direction and graphic design and currently serves as VP of Marketing for NICHE Canada.
